FOUNDATION COURSE IN POLE TEACHER TRAINING
Enabling you to teach students at a beginner/Intermediate level
Course Overview
Our Foundation Course is split into 2 parts (theory and practical – 16 hours total) over 2 full days including assessment. All of our courses are REP’s accredited which means we are European Government approved and a certified training provider for the fitness industry.
An Internationally recognised pole fitness instructors qualification- a must for anyone who takes their training and teaching seriously.
Theory Module
An Introduction to teaching Pole fitness. We will supply you with 4 comprehensive training manuals and workbooks covering the essentials of safe and effective instructing. You will learn how to structure and adapt a successful class plan.We will guide you though the basics of how to set up your own class- from how to know if the venue will work for you to pre class safety checks. Understanding the need for Music licenses, Insurance and Instructor first aid certification. Equipment maintenance and the importance of pre-risk assessments. Learn how to motivate your class including the different learning styles, the importance of teaching safe progressions and correct postural alignment. How to network effectively and create contacts to ensure you have all the support you need to become a successful Instructor.
Final Onsite Assessment
The assessment is in two parts- Theory and practical. The theory element is a written test based on the material you have covered during your course, you must achieve at least 80 % to pass this element. The Practical exam is set in a class environment where you will be given a series of moves to teach to a student, an examiner will assess your teaching skills throughout. Looking at technique, appropriate body alignment, visual and verbal demonstration, grip, transition and delivery a 75% pass rate is required. Unsuccessful candidates will be deferred and invited to return on our next available course. See our Assessment and Exam process page

Entry Requirements: Basic understanding of Pole Fitness, You must be able to hold your own body weight off the floor in a spin holding the pole for support.

ADVANCED COURSE IN POLE TEACHER TRAINING(INVERTS & SAFE SPOTTING TECHNIQUES)

Course Overview
Our Advanced Course is split into 2 parts (theory and practical – 16 hours) over 2 days assessment included on the course.This course complies with current Health & Safety Regulations for Professional Pole Instructors.Reps accredited Internationally recognised Qualification in Pole Dance Fitness Teacher Training.
Theory Module
We will supply you with 3 comprehensive training manuals and workbooks covering the essentials of how to safely teach advanced pole fitness.We will cover the prevention of accidents whilst doing inverts and overturns for Health and Safety regulations and insurance. Pole Fitness Muscle anatomy including the anatomy of an invert. Pressure points and potential strain areas to the body during moves.Accident Prevention.
Practical Module
Includes conditioning and strength building exercises with additional drill work for strength building towards advanced moves and inverting.Competent spotting techniques for safe teaching of inverts .Advanced Instructor training progressions focusing on safety for you and your students for Prevention of accidents. . Includes advanced teacher training techniques to motivate your students and self. Over 70 advanced tricks, spins, transitions poses and combinations for progressions. Techniques on and off the pole and safety elements complying with Duty of Care plus all current pole fitness insurance requirements.
